International Theatrical Photographer
I was born in Genoa, Italy, in 1974. I was given my first camera, a manual Yashica, at the age of 10.
I decided on a career as photographer whilst I was still in High School, working for the local newspaper and photographing small sport event.
In 1994, at the age of 20, I had the opportunity to be introduced to Broadway and its Musical world, attending the Opening night of the Walt Disney’s production of Beauty and the Beast, at the Palace theatre in NYC.
From that moment on, my goal was set. I moved to London a year later, pursing the career in theatrical photography.
After 20 years, I managed to capture some of the most iconic shows including Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Grease, Oliver!, Miss Saigon, The Bodyguard, Saturday Night Fever, Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein.
Commissioned work came from world class production companies such as Cameron Mackintosh, David Ian Productions, Really Useful Group, Stage France – Stage Italy, The Royal Shakespeare Company, The National Theatre, WEC (World Entertainment Company), to mention a few.
I have shot numerous shows and live performances, featuring leading British and International celebrities such as Dame Julie Andrews, Nicole Scherzinger, Rowan Atkinson, Michael Ball, Dame Judi Dench, Alexandra Burke, Martin Clunes, Paul Nicholas, Adam Garcia, Luke Goss, Danny Bayne, Lee Latchford-Evans, Kym Marsh, Shaun Williamson, John Partridge, Anita Louise Combe.
I am a member of the British Press Photographer’s Association and, since 2003 I have been looking after the production photography of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Cats, in UK and Internationally.
In 2008, I established my own Studio, focusing on still life and product photography as well as portrait and commercial. I became a passionate follower of the most performing Swiss lightening system brand, the amazing Broncolor Siros.
I live between Italy and UK and when I’m not photographing, I spend my time on my Triumph Bonneville, drinking coffee and enjoying life.
